Choosing the pool that is right for You.

There are several steps involved in creating your dream swimming pool. I say your swimming pool because we truly believe that no one swimming pool is exactly alike. Each swimming pool we build is a unique creation based on what our clients envision being the best fit for their home.

That being said, there are many different options when it comes to creating your swimming pool. Below you will read about gunite pools (our most durable option) and vinyl pools (our most affordable option). Both types of pools are great options to consider when deciding which pool will fit you and your family’s needs the best!

Gunite Pools

One of the most popular choices is a gunite swimming pool. Gunite pools are highly durable and your possibilities are endless when it comes to shape, size and features. Gunite pools are constructed with a rebar framework that is then sprayed with a cement and sand mixture, making them able to withstand decades of use and unpredictable weather. Well-built gunite pools are made to last for generations.

Great!  You’ve chosen a gunite pool! What comes next?

Once the gunite is applied and the shell is formed, the next step is to select the finish. Plaster finishes come in a wide variety of shades and colors. This allows you the ability to coordinate the style of your pool with the rest of your home and outdoor living area. Other finishes known as exposed aggregate encompass natural pebbles, quartz and granite to give your pool’s finish a truly natural and unique look.

With a gunite pool, the design process is truly limitless. Homeowners are able to add custom features such as waterfalls, attached spas and steps. This gives you the ability to create a custom pool that is specifically designed for you and your family’s needs.

Vinyl Pools

Another great option is a vinyl lined swimming pool.  There are many advantages to consider when choosing to install a vinyl swimming pool. The biggest advantage is its affordability. Material costs are significantly less expensive, which make the installation price considerably lower than a gunite pool. The vinyl swimming pool allows families to enjoy the benefits of an in-ground pool while still being able to fit it into their budgets.

Fantastic! You’ve chosen a vinyl pool. What comes next?

A vinyl liner pool has a custom-made sheet of vinyl that is positioned between the water and the pool structure. Vinyl liners lock their top edge, called a bead, into a track located on the bottom of the coping, which is at deck level. Underneath the liner is a vermiculite floor, specified in dimension to the “cut” of the liner that is to be used. The floors come up to meet the walls, made of galvanized steel. These walls are supported from behind so that they won’t bow out against the weight of the water.  All of the wall panels are secured together to make up the perimeter shape of the swimming pool.

Steel walls also allow for a great deal of flexibility when designing the shape and size of your pool – making vinyl pools a great choice for your backyard!
